With the displeasing look on Chioma’s face Chisom knew who was calling her. Chioma stared at Felix’s name on the screen which was flickering. Sighing, she hung up the call.
‘Why did you hang up on him? You should have rejected his love,’Chisom said. ‘If he calls again don’t hesistate to tell him.’
Chioma nodded, placing the phone onto the counter. As she was about walking over to a customer that waved to be attended to, the phone began ringing.
‘F…Felix…’Chioma stammered when she picked the call.
‘We’re having our first date tonight.’
This guy was just domineering. He wouldn’t take a no for an answer neither would he give her the chance to speak more. He was bossy. Furious, she added Felix’s number to the blacklist and deleted his contact from the contact list. She had saved the number after Audery pleaded with her during their chat today, which was before the cracking of the day. Chioma didn’t want to, but after Audrey begged her to, she couldn’t refuse. And right now, she was left with no choice than to blacklist him from her contact.
Was Felix really going out with me? If he comes here then I am finished, chioma thought as she headed to the customer and bumped into a table, almost falling down.
Chisom went to help her. Chuckling lightly, she reached out and pinched chioma’s nose. ‘Girl, you ain’t very beautiful but you’re seducing every man here in Abuja.’
‘I wanted to tell him not to court me but instead he said we’re having our first date tonight.’Chioma didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. ‘What if he comes here and creates a scene? Michael might think that I am cheating on him. I am worried about Audrey’s misinterpretation. She might think I am toying with her bother’s feelings.’
‘You’re a good girl,’Chisom said softly to Chioma. ‘I know you would never do anything that will ruin others.’she paused. ‘If you don’t get the chance to tell Felix about Michael, then, you should tell Michael about Felix, that way you will be safe.’
