At the restaurant, the two sat facing each other. As always, Celine's fresh and delicate face looked extremely captivating and attractive.
'Are you tired?' Prince glanced at Celine and asked.
'You don't seem to care.' Celine pouted. 'You didn't give me a piggyback like couples do during romantic stroll. You didn't even ask me if wanted to drink tea at Orchard Tea House or if I wanted us to go to Midsummer House and enjoy their meal or whether I wanted to go to a luxurious shopping mall and shop till I begin to sweat.' She feigned a little bit annoyed.
The corners of Prince's mouth rose slightly. He extended his hand and pinched Celine's face. 'Fine, next time...we will go according to your commands.'
'Really?' Celine smiled.
'Very certain.'
'Then we should prepare something for Chioma's surprise party.'
'Mhm, that's a good idea.'
After the meal, both of them took a bus back to the school.
'When are we heading back to Nigeria?' Celine looked at Prince and asked.
'Our flight has already been booked.'
The two talked excitedly on the way, and later arrived at Harvard yard.
Emmanuella went out with Julia one beautiful afternoon.'Tell me the truth, Julia,' she demanded. They were taking coffee and cake at one of the delicious boutique cafes. The two girls sat facing each other, their legs crossed neatly at the ankle. Emmanuella nodded in greeting to the two young men who passed their table to the next one. She was wearing a pink floral mini dress over black tights with a long black parka.
Julia sipped her coffee and said, 'I'll try, Emmanuella. But it all depends on what you ask.' She was looking beautiful in her yellow turtleneck top, dark wash skinny jeans and black sneakers.
Emmanuella nodded, then leaned forward earnestly, 'Jessica has been released... Are... Do you still...'
Julia arched her eyebrows encouraging Emmanuella to go on. She was great listener sometimes while sometimes, she wouldn't dare listen to anyone, especially if she wasn't in the mood.
'Do you think Jessica would let you marry Nathan?' Emmanuella blurted out.
Julia smiled. ‘Emmanuella, I wonder when you are finally going to accept Nathan as my destiny. He's going to marry me, certainly yes.'
'Anyone can see that they are wild about each other.' Emmanuella took a bite from her slice of cake.
Suddenly, Julia felt as if a knife had been pushed into her chest. Her eyes filled with tears. 'But I love him very much,' she said, feeling hurt.
'No, you don't, you goose. You just like the idea of being in love with him, that's it.' Emmanuella took Julia's hand. 'You would only live in hell, that's because his heart belongs only to Jessica, no one else. They suit each other.' She leaned back. 'Besides, you'r beautiful and might be lucky with Felix.'
Julia smiled through her tears. 'Then I will shift my love to Felix and worry about Nathan later.'
'Felix, wouldn't love you either. I hope you wouldn't be like Jessica? Hope you wouldn't start a fight?'
Julia shook her heard. 'I'm not as rich as Jessica to start a fight. That girl's so lucky. After all she did to Chioma, she was still released and let go.'
'You might not be lucky. Which is why, you must promise me that you would never let your emotions get the best of you...You’ll cause trouble for Andrew and Chisom.’
'I promise,' Julia said. 'But you must treat me another day.'
'Ok,' Emmanuella said, using the American slang expression she had learned from a movie. 'Okey-doke. I truly promise.'
They finished the cake and coffee and left.
