Meanwhile, Audrey, Daniel, Chisom, Celine and Catherine all arrived at the glorious decorated street of Jimmy Carter. The five of them had arrived almost the same time but in different cars. Daniel and Chisom had come in a black uber while Audrey drove Celine and Catherine to this place in a luxurious blue Rolls-Royce.
Audrey was wearing a white shimmering long sleeve evening gown. She had a light makeup, yet it seems her face was drawn by an artiste. It was exquisite and as well as graceful. Her hair that draped over the shoulders was slightly curled at the ends, and she wore a pair of diamond earrings. Audrey had always bore a charming aura like a remarkable princess from a royal family. She had always dressed like the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex. She was alluring as ever.
Celine was dressed up beautifully, in a pink off-shoulder Versace gown paired with crystal coloured high-heeled shoes. Her hair which was carefully combed was clipped up to match the evening gown which she wore. Her beauty was breathtaking to the point it would cause one's heartbeat to accelerate.
Chisom wore an emerald- green long sleeve satin mermaid gown. Although, she wasn't as enchanting as Audrey, Celine and Catherine, she had her own unique innocent charm. Catherine wore a royal blue Indian-American designer Naeem Khan, gown and shawl which included detailed hand beading done in India.
The four ladies wore matching high-heels, complimenting their gowns, and also each of them had a matching clutch. They were dressed gracefully and beautifully, and the fragrant smell of their perfume wafted the place.
As for Daniel who grabbed Audrey's hand once she stepped out of the Uber, wore a grey fitting suit with matching shoes.
Others showed their invitation at the entrance. However, Audrey, led them without anything, and no one dared to stop them. The Njemanze family is so powerful that no one went against them.
'Do you know where Chioma went to?' Audrey smiled as she asked profoundly.
'I think, she is receiving a world class make-up,' Celine said. She thought that Michael would hire the best make-up artist to give her hours of make-up.
'I think, she is still at home eating food,' Chisom guessed.
'What a terrible guess. That's so lame. How would she fit into the dress if she eats too much?'
'I think both of you are pretty lame...' Catherine snapped. 'Chioma's very smart... Is likely that she is receiving an interview right now from a radio or television station... Michael would sure want this surprise to be very perfect...'
Celine rolled her eyes at Catherine. 'I thought you would be very smart but you ended up making the scene boring,' she said as she lightly adjusted her hair that drooped over her eyes, leaving several strands on her fringe that swayed with the wind.
'Catherine is right... Chioma is on her way to Sharon TV...it's part of the plan... 'Daniel said.
'Damn...why didn't Audrey mention this part of plan to me?' Celine looked at Audrey.
'It was a last minute plan,' Audrey smiled faintly.
'Today is bright and beautiful.' After speaking, Catherine raised her head to look at the beautiful sky.
Daniel and Audrey looked at each other and smiled sweetly.
All the male guests here wore suits, while the female guests wore stunning evening gowns or short dresses. The whole street of Jimmy Carter was beautifully decorated but the main spot where the program was held was the spot where Michael and Chioma had first met, which Star Restaurant was part of the specially decorated spot. Michael had change Star Restaurant neon lit signboard which wasn't dazzling. Now the neon lit signboard had an incredibly imposing, dazzling splendour, which made all the surrounding restaurants look inferior in comparison. Anyone who saw it couldn't help but look at it with admiration.
Michael had also sponsored hugely for the restaurant to prepare a delicate buffet for everybody, which included buckets and buckets of KFC; Kentucky Fried Chicken. Those who couldn't eat inside had their tables outside. Many people ate lavish meal and had good wine in the well decorated restaurant. The ambiance was great. The restaurant wasn't poor looking like before. It was beautiful.
The decoration was extremely luxurious. At the entrance of Jimmy Carter Street were posters of Michael and Chioma.
Of course Chioma didn't know what was still going on. She had arrived Sharon TV station and was led inside the studio by Sharon who was beaming from ear to ear.
Sitting in the studio with Chioma, and after the initial greeting, Sharon asked some warm-up questions after which she arrived at the main point.
Inside the studio sat about hundred fans, waiting for Chioma's answer. In front of their TV at home, some also waited eagerly, at Jimmy carter Street, the huge TVs stationed around, got people waiting to watch the show. Even Michael who was listening to the live broadcast in his gold-coloured, limited edition Lamborghini couldn't help but look at Chioma with love in his eyes.
'Chioma now that we are through with the warm-up question, I want to ask you how you met Michael Njemanze.'
'At Jimmy Carter Street...it was the wind that led me to him,' Chioma answered with a smile.
'Did you fall in love with him at that moment?'
Everyone watching wondered how Chioma was going to answer that. Her answers were going to clear lots of doubts and perhaps, make people know the truth about her love story with Michael.
Chioma smiled silently while Michael who was watching from his car waited in anticipation to hear what she had to tell the whole world. Although, he knew the answer to the question Sharon had asked, but he still wanted to hear it again from Chioma.
'Why is everyone so curious to hear about this? Shouldn't the answer be between Michael and me?' Chioma smiled. She wasn't actually bothered by the question; she was really trying to liven up the atmosphere.
'Chioma, everyone's waiting in anticipation, so don't hide the truth from us. A few of us already know the truth, but at this moment, it seems that the whole world want to hear it from you,' Sharon said with a smile. Actually, Sharon was glad that Chioma appeared on this program. Since the birth of the station, today was the first time Sharon TV had had this kind of interview. It had always been business interviews from influential rich-folks who mostly talked about their business; loses and profits. Sharon was glad that Chioma was here. She was someone that knows how to liven the atmosphere, someone that was extremely friendly, just like the girl-next-door.
'Yes, I fell in love with him the moment that I met him,' Chioma proudly answered.
Everyone smiled at her answer as well as didn't expect her to admit it straightforwardly. Michael's heart warmed up as he listened. He couldn't stop looking at Chioma with a lovely adoration.
'Really?'Sharon pretended to be surprised as she giggled and continued to ask, ' in that case, does he know you fell in love with him the first time you both saw each other?'
'I have told him severally that I fell in love with him that same day that we met, and I have told him severally how much I love and adore him.'
'Then doesn't that mean that you're scaring other women away?' Sharon teased her.
'I am only his woman...others are not,' Chioma smiled.
The studio erupted in laughter.
'Everyone is curious to know if you’re truly in love with Michael. So, we are all curious to hear his voice now...We want you to call him up right now.'
Chioma covered her face shyly as she helplessly said, 'Huh...?'
'Did you think you could avoid this question, quickly call him up in front of us?'
Audrey and her group that were watching from Jimmy Carter Street couldn't help but laugh. Meanwhile, Louisa and Andrew were dressing up for the party as the from time to time glanced at the TV.
Chioma turned to the audience and asked softly, 'What should I do?'
'Call him up...we want to hear his voice,' they said in unison.
Chioma had no choice than to reach for her phone and dialled Michael's number, which she had saved with my love. She rang him in front of everyone.
On the other side of the phone, Michael who was still watching the live broadcast from his car, saw Chioma's name, which he had saved with Ti amo, pop up on the caller ID. His mesmerising voice was heard as he said, ‘Ti amo...'
His voice was charming and attractive, and everyone in the studio erupted in laughter when they heard what Michael called Chioma.
Chioma shyly placed her finger on her lips, gesturing them to keep quiet before saying, 'Honey...'
Once again the studio erupted in high-pitch scream.
'Honey, you see everyone wants to know if I fell in love with you the moment I met you...and I said a big yes...I told them that I love you...'
On the other side of the phone, Michael smiled before saying, 'I love you very much...'
The audience broke out in laughter as Chioma and Michael played public display of affection over the phone.
When the call was over, Sharon turned to Chioma and said blissfully, 'We have a present for you...and that is to dress you up as our first entertainment Interviewee. Please, do not refuse...' Sharon quickly added before Chioma would change her mind.
Then, after the interview which was lasted for about ten minutes, Sharon led Chioma to the lavish make-up room of the studio.
The moment Chioma entered the room; she was surprised by how luxurious the place was. Sharon smiled and picked up the box, Michael had brought over and handed it to Chioma. 'I really want to see you in this outfit that Michael picked...,' Sharon blurted out and immediately covered her slip. 'I wanted to see your reaction if I call Michael's name,' she giggled.
Chioma took the box and sat down to open it. She was surprised that she immediately went online to search for the clothes. Upon seeing the price, Chioma was so shocked to see 12 million dollars for the diamond pink dress. 'Such a great money, Sharon. The money could have been used for something better...why did you have to spend so much money on a dress?'
'Because, you deserve it...' Sharon didn't want to tell her yet that it was Michael that picked the dress for her, so she said, 'it's a give away...made specially for you.'
Chioma wanted to cry but had no tears. She knew that Michael could have possibly bought the dress for her. But then, if he was really the one that bought this dress she didn't find it funny that he had to spend 12 million dollars on a dress. How could such huge money be thrown away like this?
'Don't be afraid Chioma, we will still earn more than that in adverts.'
'How? Do you really want to make such a huge success by throwing away something this very big?'Chioma stared at her.
'You can return the clothes later...your fans really want to see the gift on you...I told them that you will wear it to Jimmy Carter Street where you first met Michael, after that you could pull off the dress...'
Chioma sighed helpless. She stood up from the make-up table, and then lifted out the dress from the box. It was a pink diamond dress, designed in such a way that when the wearer turns and moves, light shines off the diamond and create a wonderful sparkle.
'This is really gorgeous...Chioma, try it on.'
'I feel slightly guilty wearing such a very costly dress on my body,' Chioma said as she stroked the gown gently.
