The moment I met you (Chapter 101)

 By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

‘Okay.’ Audrey stopped the car, not bothering to ask Celine why she wanted to stop here instead of entering inside the school.

Celine stepped down, carrying her bag by the strap, she waved Audrey goodbye before closing the door of the passenger door.

Audrey smiled, but didn’t drive away yet. She quietly observed Celine. She smiled when she saw Celine catching up with a handsome boy who was about 185centimetre tall. He looked smart and well polished. It was quite clear that the boy was an intellectual, and had come from an upper-class family. He was super rich and didn’t attend Diamond Snow through scholarship. He had come with cash flowing through his finger tips. Perhaps, he was also the school hunk. They were walking side by side, talking and laughing like a perfect couple from romance movies.

‘He is my sister’s crush?’ Audrey muttered with a smile. She watched as both of them reached the gate of the school. They showed their student passes to the security officers at the gate before entering inside. Smiling, Audrey started the engine of her car and drove off.

Audrey reached Star Restaurant, met Emeka at the entrance, handed the exquisite-looking boxes to him to give to Chioma, and then she left. She had an early lecture to catch up with at Baze University where she was studying Mass Communication.

Emeka carried the boxes inside and placed them on the counter. He wondered what was inside the exquisite boxes. He glanced over at Chioma who was cheerfully attending to customers. He smiled with both his face and eyes, looking right at Chioma with tenderness. Then, when Chioma met his gaze, Emeka gestured for her to come over with a jerk of his head.

Though, she was dressed in the simple black dress and red scarf neatly tied round her neck, Emeka felt that Chioma had an appearance like she came out from a painting, as she walked towards him. Emeka couldn’t help but stared at her with warmth.
