As Michael drove, he wondered how Chioma would react if she saw him. Would she get mad? He couldn’t wait for a week as she had requested. He wanted to hear her answer. Perhaps, he couldn’t wait to see her. This was his first time of loving a woman so much that he wanted to see her every seconds of his life. But he was afraid that she would get mad.
At this thought, he became even nervous, and the car suddenly came to a stop under a tree by the side of the road.
He whipped out his phone and made a phone call. ‘Robert, hurry to any florist shop and buy 99 roses… also a box of chocolate.’
On the other side, after entering Star Restaurant, Daniel walked to the side of the counter, and sat at a corner.
‘Big brother Daniel, you’re here.’ Chioma who was carrying a tray of rice and groundnut stew with a jug of water noticed him, and revealed a warm smile. Placing the tray before the customer that had ordered for it, she brought a bottle of coke for Daniel. ‘Chisom is busy in the kitchen while boss Emeka left to pick some items from the market,’ she grinned.
Daniel gave her a smile, then unscrewed the coke and took a sip. ‘You miss me, right?’ When he smiled it was as if the few pimples on his handsome face were smiling at him as well.
