The moment I met you (Chapter 120)

  By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

Chioma pouted. ‘I will miss you more if you buy me pizza and roasted chicken.’

‘When did you become little eating machine?’ Daniel teased her and she chuckled, then he asked after taking a giant sip of his coke, ‘Do you like your job as a waitress?’

Chioma nodded. ‘Yes… the customers are nice people.’

‘You don’t have to be a waitress… being my assistant will do, right? Or I could let you be the manager of my shop. I rarely supervise the place since I’m always on business trip… you and my sister could work for me. Chisom is stubborn and wouldn’t work for me because you’re here. I know is unfair to pull you out from here. Emeka has been my friend since we were children.’

Hearing his words, Chioma felt a little touched, she knew this man truly cared for her. But she had her own stance. He was already seeing someone. It was wrong to break two people who are in love. Daniel was already taken, and if at all he was still single, she would not still accept him as her beau. She would only see him as her big brother, nothing more.

‘Big brother Daniel, I feel that being a waitress is pretty good; the customers are quite nice people.’She paused. ‘If I go to your shop I might sell the wrong car spare parts to your customers…’ she pouted. ‘Maybe I could have considered your offer if I hadn’t gotten this job.’
