With that sadness and tears on Jessica’s face, she went to Moon Corporation. From the looks of her, one will notice her sadness. Jessica didn’t stop when someone called out to her. Even when her phone vibrated, she didn’t care to look at who the caller was.
She walked into the elevator, heading for Felix’s office. Stepping out of the elevator, she walked over to the office. She was in a white blazer and wide-leg trousers with white pumps.
‘Felix…’
‘Have
some water first. The water will clear your throat and enable you talk
properly.’ Felix smiled.
Jessica
placed her extravagant Chanel
handbag on the table, and then took the glass but didn’t speak. Tears kept
rolling down her smooth cheeks.
‘Jessica, you look… unhappy,’ Felix
said, pouring himself a glass of water. ‘Is
it because of Michael?’
Jessica
nodded. ‘Felix, I love him.’
‘But he doesn’t love you,’ he
paused and said after a while, ‘Jessica, no matter how you put it… no one can
force love. Just give up already.’ His voice was calm.
‘Give up? Stop it, Felix… Why
me? I have been with Michael for so long…’
‘Then
go and kidnap him and make him yours.’ Felix joked but Jessica didn’t smile.
‘Felix, he
dislikes me.’
‘Dislikes you? Any
man will dislike an attitude like yours… Even the lead character of a movie will
hate you,’ Felix said coldly.
‘What’s
wrong with me? Am I not beautiful anymore? As she spoke, tears began to well up
in her eyes afresh. ‘I saw him today with a lowly woman. He left his throne
just to be with a cheap woman, a woman without future…’
