The moment I met you (Chapter 156)

 By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

It had been long since Chioma felt the cool air-conditioning caressing her hot face. Apart from banks and other high-end public places, Chioma rarely enjoyed the cool caress of air-conditioner. She only experience such cooling moment when she visited high-end areas. So, right now, she felt it was nice to feel the cool air-conditioning on her hot face. She was certain, Chisom felt the same way. And anyone in her cheap shoes felt the same way too.

They took the escalator up to the first floor to the restaurant. There weren’t many people dining in this area. Most of the diners were at the first class dining area of the mall. When Chioma and her group entered they placed their order, and then waited patiently by passing the time chatting happily to each other.

After they got their food and began to eat, Chisom said, ‘You know big brother Daniel, I think that now you broke up with your cheating girl friend, you should find another.’

Daniel glanced at Chioma but she lowered her head, not wanting to look into his eyes.

‘I wish you’d tell me exactly how to find a good girl like Chioma,’said Daniel sincerely.

‘I’ve told you, Chioma is already taken and have no space for you. But don’t worry, you still have a chance to find your heart’s better half,’ she sighed. ‘Maybe sooner or later you will find her.’

‘Oh, you’re a genius… I’m proud of my girl friend,’ said Andrew, he couldn’t help chuckling. ‘You’re really sure that your ugly brother will find a girl friend?’ Andrew joked, and they laughed.

‘Now you have made me feel awful, Andrew. I really shouldn’t have treated you to this meal you’ll never have had for the rest of your life.’ Daniel wasn’t appalled. ‘Maybe you’re going to pay for your own meal.’
