The moment I met you (Chapter 169)

  By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

‘Audrey, what are you doing?’ she muttered to herself, shaking her head hard to get rid of the crazy images in her head.

Just then two young handsome men walked over to her after swimming. They had droplets of water dripping from their body. They motioned for Audrey to give them the towels that was on the seat next to her. She passed the two towels to them.

‘Thanks, Audrey,’the one with the white towel said with a smile, and wiped his body. Then he asked the waitress to get him a glass of wine. The other man with the blue towel followed a skinny girl and went out.

Audrey was about rising from her seat when a woman in a red dress with red wavy hair strode towards the both of them in her high-heels. She had a red manicured hand. She was the celebrant.

‘Audrey, this is my boyfriend, Raymond.’

‘I have seen him before in our school. And you introduced him to me, and he still remembers my name,’Audrey said with a smile.

‘Why didn’t you bring your boyfriend over?’

‘Well, I didn’t want to bother him.’ Audrey improvised a lie. ‘Happy birthday, Kimberly.’

‘Thanks.’ She turned to her boyfriend, and kissed his lips.

Audrey didn’t want to watch the couple flirting, so she handed Kimberly her birthday gift and went home.
