‘You will feel better if I tell you this.’Patricia looked at Jessica raising her glass to her lips. ‘Michael’s leaving for Lagos tomorrow. He will be staying in Sharton Hotel. He will stay in the presidential suite.’
‘What about Audrey’s birthday, won’t he be there for his cousin?’
‘There’s an emergency at Lagos branch. Michael needs to be there… ’
Jessica smiled as if to have finally won the sweep. ‘When will his flight leave?’
‘Seven in the morning. I will send you his flight number. You can follow him there and make him your man.’
Jessica was pleased with the information that she stood up, kissed Patricia’s cheek before heading out to prepare for her flight tomorrow. While in Lagos, she would secretly send some men to teach Chioma a lesson, and she would try to win Michael to herself. No one would blame her for being involved in the tragedy that would soon befall Chioma because she would be in Lagos by that time. Through the rear view mirror, she glanced at a man taking his dog for a work. She let out a sigh of satisfaction.
The next day, Jessica arrived at the airport early. She wanted to see when Michael would arrive so she would play couple role with him, thereby attracting onlookers and paparrazzi. However, Michael felt that Jessica might follow him behind, so he came to the airport fully- disguised and had taken the VIP entrance along with Robert who was with him. So of course, Jessica had no chance of seeing him. She decided to board the plane while Michael was already reading online news with his Ipad in the first class cabin.
Jessica was sure that Michael had boarded this flight because Patricia sent her this flight number and even arranged that she boarded the same plane with Michael. She wondered where Michael was as she flipped through the in-flight magazine. She didn’t care about the beautiful advertisement in various pages of the magazine. Her mind was focused on getting to know where Michael was. Could it be that Michael was sitting in the first class cabin? Jessica thought. It was at this moment that she realised that she was sitting in the economy cabin. She boiled in rage at making such a huge mistake. She had even dressed herself in a sexy outfit just so she would seduce Michael in the plane. But she missed sitting with him. But then, a smile pulled at the corners of her lips when she remembered that there was only one way out of the plane, there was no way she wouldn’t bump into Michael. She would be at alert not to miss him this time.
