The stairs had been decorated with flowers petals scattered around to welcome Audrey and her escort. The happy mood was relished with a soft and melodious music playing at the background.
Isabelle who was donning a sparkling, long-sleeved gown couldn’t stop smiling at her daughter. Nicholas as well was pleased with his daughter. He was wearing a dark, elegant high-end suit.
Audrey could feel everyone's eyes on her; some stared at her just for the dress she was wearing and others at how beautiful she looked. Perhaps, there were a few that were staring to know who Daniel was; whether he had a formidable background or just some random escort selected by Audrey.
On the other hand, Chioma was wearing a belted green dress she had bought from a street vendor and her Aba made cheap made heels. Chisom was dressed in a dark green dress of the same poor quality with her best friend. But then, they were still good looking, maybe not as everyone else in the room. Andrew didn’t go because he was afraid to feel out of place.
Aside
from Chioma, Chisom and Daniel who were from poor background the rest of the
guests in the room were rich and powerful. The guests comprises of celebrities,
billionaires, top government officials and other well-to-do individuals.
Nicholas had spent several millions of naira for security alone. The guests
were required to present their invitations, which coming of age had been
written with invisible ink to avoid anyone crashing into the party. Nicholas
was afraid of anything going wrong, so he made sure for the party to be held at
Paradise Hotel which was a seven star hotel under Moon Corporation. Aside from the security guards positioned
everywhere; Nicholas had hired extra twenty top police officers stationed at
the entrance. There were CCTV cameras
mounted at strategic points of the restaurant. Two Police officers were seen
patrolling the place with two Golden Retrievers. One of the dogs was light
golden colour while the other was dark golden. With the tight security It would
be difficult for any intruder to sneak in or out.
