Chioma almost cried upon hearing what he said. How could he be so bossy? ‘Only children do that,’Chioma said as she turned her face away from him.
‘I’m not kidding…’He turned her head to face him, and then said, ‘I’m listening.’
‘Felix…Felix…Felix…Felix…’Chioma didn’t know whether to cry or laugh as she kept saying his name. Felix seems to be enjoying it as he closed his eyes with his face pinned with beautiful smile. ‘I should go in now,’Chioma said, turning around to head back inside. However, before she could take a step out, Felix pulled her into his warm embrace. He hugged her so tight that she couldn’t pull away from him. She smelled the light scent of CR7 cologne on his coat. For a second or two, Chioma felt like not stepping away and enjoy the sweet smile from his body, but the thought of Michael made her pull away quickly. ‘Please, stop!’ she murmured, looking up at his face which was beaming with smiles. Chioma cursed in her head. Chioma are you stupid? Why did you let another man hug you intimately? I would stay away from him.
‘You can’t stay away from me. We’re born to cross each other’s path often,’Felix said, answering her thought.
Is he a witch to know my thoughts? Chioma looked at him, surprised.
Felix had
only come to check on her and know whether she had returned home safely since
he didn’t see her leave the hotel. He was worried that she might encounter
problem on the road, so he had to get her address from Audrey just to check on
her. Now she was safe, he felt happy. Not only that, he had the opportunity to
hug her for a few moment.
Walking back inside, she went straight to the fridge and took a can of Malt. Pulling up on the tab with her index and thumb, Chioma took a few mouthfuls of the drink and a cool sensation swept through her body, causing her to feel better after facing Felix who was domineering. She thought that Andrew was already sleeping in his bedroom but to her surprise, she heard Andrew’s footsteps.
