 ‘Quick, Robert check the entertainment news headlines! You will see everything there.’                                          

Robert pulled out his phone to search the headlines. To his surprise, he saw the news and videos pointing Chioma as a user.                    

‘Whether she’s a whore or a user, I still love Chioma Chima and will never grow tired of loving her.’                                                             

  Michael’s words silenced them all, and they paved way for him and Robert to pass.                                                                                

Boarding the company car, Michael turned to Robert, ‘Contact Jessica. I’m sure that she’s responsible for this.’                                       

Robert quickly rang Jessica. ‘Sir, she is on the line,’he said handing the phone to Michael.                                                                                 

‘Jessica, are you crazy?’                                                                          

On the other side of the phone, Jessica’s laughter resounded. She seemed to be enjoying Michael’s reaction. Calmly, she replied, ‘You have always known me to be crazy, why then should you ask? Don’t tell me you’re angry because I didn’t come to welcome you at the airport. I have jet lag. Anyway, you wouldn’t like me to come. I rather not waste my time.’                                                                                       

  ‘I know that you’re responsible for the scene at the airport.’                       

‘What scene?’                                                                                         

  ‘Don’t pretend with me. I know you too well.’                              

Jessica chuckled, taking a bite of her strawberry as she leisurely sat in the living room couch of their mansion here in Abuja.                          

  ‘Why did you pay those people to lie against Chioma?’                      

‘Lie? How could I do that? I have never been a liar…but if you don’t like the scene, then, quickly cover it up by posting news of our relationship. That way, everyone will be at peace.’                                                      

Michael furiously hung up. Without wasting time, he swiftly contacted his connections in the media and got the news taken down. But then, those in support of Jessica for him couldn’t help posting and re-posting about how manipulating Chioma was in the internet. Netizens kept on sharing and commenting. Every one of them called her names. Michael was confused as to what to do. He wished that everything was just a dream and not real. If not, how was he going to deal with the situation? He was in love with the same girl Felix was in love with.
