The Moment I Met You (Chapter 315)

Chioma spoke gently, not forceful at all, but straight to the point. Chisom beamed proudly at her best friend, who looked fearless at this moment.

               

Julia who was at the scene with her friends couldn’t conceal her anger anymore. She stood between her friends and Chisom as she turned her head towards Chioma. ‘Before you appeared from nowhere everything was calm and peaceful, but you did not only cheat on Michael, you also cheated on Felix. You hurt two good men. How could you claim to be innocent?’

                    

If you don’t give Jessica back her man, you’ll live forever in misery.’                                                                                                                                                                  

Chisom scoffed. ‘Do you really believe Jessica is meant for Michael?’Chisom asked with deeper meaning.                                                         

‘Yes, they’re childhood friends.’                                                        

‘So, that means we should marry all our childhood friends?’                     Unexpectedly Michael appeared at the scene, and from where he stood, he said to everyone’s hearing, ‘I could make all of you disappear from this state if I want to. How dare you talk so cheaply to my woman? Are you tired of living?’                                                                                  

Everyone was stunned to see Michael except for Chisom who had secretly texted Michael about this. Chioma’s heartbeat stopped for a minute. She wanted to reach out and hug him. But how could she do that right now? What if Michael didn’t want her back? Suddenly tears filled her eyes.                                                                                           

As he walked over to Chioma, they all paved way for him. And when he reached her, he embraced her and planted a kiss on her cheeks, then, he stood by her side. All Chioma wanted was to find a hole and hide inside it, she felt that today was too embarrassing, but then, she knew, that at this moment, other than the humiliation she had received, there was an overflowing sweet feeling in her heart because Michael was here with her. He was here to protect her.                                  

Michael glanced furiously at the people. And with the intimidating tone of a king, he spoke to the crowd. ‘Do you know what Chioma means to mean? She is not only my woman, she is my life.’               

They were shocked to hear this announcement from Michael. They thought that Michael would humiliate Chioma, but no, he treated her like a queen in front of everyone.                                                             

  ‘But…Sir…Michael, you have spent a lot of time with Jessica since you were kids. So, it is expected for you and Jessica to be together,’Julia said. ‘You can’t just pick a slummy girl from nowhere and make her your woman. What if she has an incurable disease? Jessica is pure and beautiful. She has all the qualities.’                                       

Michael glared at Julia. ‘Anyone that come in the way of my relationship with Chioma, is the third wheel…I am in no relationship with Jessica and will never be.’ In front of everyone, Michael lowered his head and brushed a soft kiss on Chioma’s lips. ‘She is my heart’s better half,’ he said.
