The Moment I Met You (Chapter 317)

By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

The photo of Michael carrying Chioma spread through out the city in just a jiffy. Jessica was eating with Sharon in a restaurant when she saw the photo. Jessica threw her phone down sadly. Her face turned dark, and her eyes burned with rage. The diners at the restaurant that received the photo commented how Chioma was a cheat.

Jessica was extremely envious. She couldn’t believe this. They more she tried to ruin Chioma, the more she becomes the star of the show.

‘It’s a good thing that the floor of this room is padded with a handmade carpet from Italy, if not, with the force you threw down the phone, it would have been in broken pieces,’Sharon said as the waiter around bent down to pick the phone for Jessica.

‘I can easily buy as many phones as possible,’Jessica said angrily, throwing the phone fiercely again after the waiter gave it to her.

‘Jess, will you stop doing this? You can throw the phone down and pick it up again but you can’t do the same with love.’

Jessica gritted her teeth. ‘I won’t allow such humiliation. What does she have that will make Michael adore her? Even Felix adores her.’ Looking at the picture, Jessica felt like ripping Chioma’s heart apart.

‘Love is foolish. Maybe you have to be foolish.’

Jessica narrowed her eyes. ‘So you’re saying that I should be foolish?’

‘You’re already foolish.’

Jessica eyed Sharon with contempt. ‘Why should you speak to me in such a manner? I can never be foolish not to claim what is mine.’

‘You’re right, Michael belongs only to you,’Sharon said with a smile on her face, her tone full of sarcasm. ‘It was your fault. You should have waited to return the same day with Michael, that way you both could have had a picture-perfect show at the airport. But you ruined everything. You left Michael to return alone.’

‘Sharon, how dare you mock me? Believe it or not, no one will ever take my place in Michael’s heart.’

Picking up the glass of orange juice on the table, Jessica drank it all. She was boiling with rage that was too hot to peel off a skin.
