The Moment I met You (Chapter 330)

 By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

At Star Restaurant, Jessica who was dressed in tight leather clothes that outlined her perfect figures pounced on Chioma once she arrived at the restaurant. Thankfully, Chisom was quick enough to react, so she dragged Jessica away from Chioma wrestling her instead. Of course, Chioma might still not be strong enough due to the surgery she had recently gone through but she wouldn’t just stand there and do nothing after all, Jessica had come to fight her, and not Chisom.

Chioma hadn’t tied up her long hair, so it was easy for Jessica to grasp it when she fought back. The customers that were eating and drinking suddenly rushed over when they noticed what was going on. Some of them swiftly separated the three girls.

Chisom was protected by Emeka and she kept complaining to him that Jessica was at fault. Chioma was restricted by Stanley’s arm, telling him the whole story. Stanley didn’t doubt her; he knew Chioma wouldn’t have engaged in a fight for any reason. Only Jessica had no one holding her. They didn’t dare touch her because of her formidable background.

‘I won’t step out of here until Chioma swears not to see my boyfriend anymore!’ Jessica yelled. ‘I will make her family taste the wrath of hell if she doesn’t leave my Michael alone.’

‘No way!’ Chioma and Chisom said at the same time as if they had rehearsed the conversation before.

They were best friends so it was possible if the words came out the same time with the same tone.

Perhaps because Julia was trying to curry favour from Jessica and didn’t want to be hated by her, she walked in front of Chioma, pointed at her, saying, ‘If you leave her man, it’ll be over.’

Before Chioma could respond, Chisom said to Julia angrily, ‘Don’t spout nonsense Julia. This has nothing to do with you. If you are done eating, you may leave…’

‘She should apologise to me for stealing my man, and also she should stay away from him!’Jessica shot Chisom a fiercing glare. ‘If your friend wants to survive…’

Before Jessica had finished her words, someone grasped Chioma’s wrist and pulled her in front of Jessica. Chioma, confused by who could have done this, even though she felt that the fragrance of his perfume was unique and familiar, turned her head and looked at the person who was grasping her wrist. She was surprised at the same time happy to see him here.

It was Michael! He had suddenly appeared like a hero in books who had come to save his princess. He had such a strong presence; from his pair of perfectly straight legs, his high-end dark blue retro suit, his unique fragrance, polished brown leather shoes to his extremely breathtaking features. Everything about him was unique and perfect.

‘You’re sure you want her to apologise and stay away from me?’                                                                                                                                            Jessica glanced at Michael, nodding to show her determination.

Michael scoffed, and then he turned his head to Chioma, saying, ‘Then I will punish her for trying to separate us.’ With a smirk on his face, his voice was slightly muffled, but everyone around heard what he had said.

‘Why should Jessica be punished for doing nothing?’Julia tilted her head and murmured.

‘Jessica I think you have reached your end,’Michael coldly said as he pulled out his phone and dialed Robert’s number. ‘Right now as I speak to you I want you to send out the order to cancel all business projects with the Nnaji family. Also, strictly warn our clients and partners that Moon Corporation will no longer be doing business with any company or Corporation affiliated with Nnaji group.’

‘Sir…Sir…Michael, did you mean to say…are you referring to business done with the Nnaji group, which belongs to Jessica’s family or maybe…’Robert sounded confused from the other end of the phone.                     ‘Are you really questioning me?’Michael harshly said to Robert.                                                                                                                                              Robert was shocked with such a harsh warrant. He wondered what could have really provoked Michael to give such an order. Yes, Michael had angrily left the meeting. But could that have been the reason? Could it be because of Chioma? Did Jessica hurt her again? Robert knew that Edward won’t be happy with such an order. He was surely going to get mad with his son. Was this what love was all about? One was willing to lose his fortunes for the sake of love. Love is indeed wicked.

‘No Sir, I will surely do as you ordered,’Robert said, hanging up. He didn’t dare to ask more questions. Perhaps, he didn’t want to lose his job.

Jessica stared at Michael; clearly surprised Michael would do such a disastrous thing to her family. Both Njemanze family and Nnaji family have been friends for long. She didn’t expect that the relationship between the two families will be shattered today. She didn’t see it coming.

Everyone seemed surprised with the news. Chioma was confused. Honestly, she didn’t want this. She didn’t want to be the reason for other people’s misfortune. Everyone would blame and hate her now.
