The Moment I Met You (Chapter 329)

By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

Michael was in a business meeting when a message notification suddenly popped into his phone. It was a Whatsapp message from Sharon Ojukwu. Michael originally didn’t want to reply to the message but Sharon had written; Chioma might be in trouble. Go help her out at Star Restaurant. Jessica is the reason.

Michael’s face immediately went grim when he saw the message. With that fury in his eyes, he slammed his phone on the table, shocking all the Moon Corporation executives. They wondered what could have caused the sudden change of attitude. The meeting had been going on smoothly until when Michael read the Whatsapp message from Sharon.

‘Sir Michael, should we continue with this meeting or should we call it a day?’Robert asked carefully to avoid Michael venting out his anger on him.

Without responding to Robert, Michael picked up his phone from the table and went out of the meeting room, heading for Star Restaurant.

‘That’s it for today,’Robert said, as he quietly waved at the executives, signaling them to leave.

‘Why should we leave?’One of the executives curiously glanced at Robert and asked.

‘How could we continue with the meeting when Sir Michael is in a bad mood?’

‘Even Sir Felix isn’t here because he is in a bad mood,’one of the executives murmured. ‘Maybe we should call the chairman to take over the company.’

‘I understand you’re worried, but I wish you don’t dig your own grave, Basil. The chairman has retired and you wish to bring him over? You sure are courting death.’ The side of Robert’s mouth twitched in disgust as he said, ‘don’t anger the boss else not only you but your family as well will disappear forever… meeting is over for today.’ With that Robert grabbed his jacket and turned to leave.
