The Moment I Met You ( Chapter 335)

By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

After Chioma got home, she was just about to wash the clothes she had taken off when her phone suddenly rang. Seeing it was from Michael, she hurriedly picked up the phone.

‘Did anyone trouble you today? Michael asked. He was still in his office. He had on a pale blue shirt; the diamonds on his cuffs were eye-catching.

‘No, Sir,’Chioma said. She didn’t want to tell him that Sharon came over asking her to tell him to change the order he made against Jessica.

Just then, Robert knocked on the door to Michael’s office. Michael asked him to come in. Robert pushed the door open and walked in, carrying a file. Michael was standing before the window, his eyes filled with immense tenderness as he turned around. Robert knew that the soft look on Michael’s face was probably because he was speaking to Chioma on the phone. Robert placed the file on the desk and quietly left the office.

‘Hope you’re ready for Saturday?’Michael was determined.

‘We’ll see,’Chioma breathed.

‘It’s settled, then.’

‘Huh?’ Chioma looked at the calendar on her phone, it was Tuesday.                                                                                                                                   Hearing the fear in her voice, Michael chuckled lightly before reminding her to drink a glass of warm milk before her night sleep.
