The moment I met you (Chapter 56)

 By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

Edward wore a black Versace suit, giving off a refined aura with his well-shaved beard. He was still very handsome despite his getting on in age. It was not possible to tell he was aging except with the wrinkles near his eyes, and his hair which was starting to grey. Anyone would tell that he was Michael’s father. They both commanded a charming and noble aura.

Stepping out of the car, Jessica ran to him, dressed in a smart, white midi Carolina Herrera dress and Sarah Flint tan wedges. She gave Edward a warm embrace as the driver placed his luggage in the boot. Patricia, who was wearing a Sergio Hudson blue-coloured turtleneck, wide-legged trousers and matching belt with a gold circle buckle, was still inside the car. She didn’t get off. Perhaps, she was trying to avoid paparazzi.

After greeting Edward, Jessica walked over to the passenger’s seat while Edward got onto the back seat of the car. He was pleased to see his lovely wife who was always radiating like the sun.

Edward kissed her cheek lovingly. Patricia smiled, drinking from his unique fragrance.

‘Is Michael very busy?’ Edward suddenly asked.

‘He decided not to come because he doesn’t want to see me.’ Before Patricia could answer Jessica turned and replied.

‘Why’s that?’ Edward slowly asked.

‘Ever since Michael and I were young, we had shared so many things together. Your house is like my second home, and I could go and come when it pleases me…’ She paused. ‘But when he began to mature, Michael lost interest in me… I don’t really know what to do anymore. Uncle please help me… you know how much I love Michael, right?’
