The moment I met you (Chapter 179)

  By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

Chioma looked at her speechlessly.

That’s what people thought, but she wasn’t with Michael because of his money. She simply loves him, even though he had forcibly asked her to be his girlfriend. She had loved him the moment she met him, and no one will stop her from loving him.

Taking out her phone, she dialed Michael’s number. As soon as the call went through, Chioma said calmly, ‘Michael, are you there?’

‘I’m sorry, Sir Michael is in a meeting. May I ask who is calling?’An unfamiliar voice came from over the line. Robert clearly saw who the caller was before picking the call, but he still decided to ask. Perhaps, he was testing Chioma’s personality.

Chioma didn’t speak or rather she was afraid to speak to a stranger.

‘I am Robert, Sir Michael’s assistant. May I take a message for him?’

‘Um…no, thank you. I will get back to him later,’she replied and then hung up. She had wanted to tell Michael about the threat she received from Jessica but since Michael was busy and wasn’t the person that answered the call, she decided against it. She felt that there was no need telling Michael anymore. It was too early to start reporting issues like this to Michael.

Robert collected a document from Michael’s desk and as he was about making his way to the meeting room to deliver the document to Michael, his phone began to ring again, and when he glanced at the screen to see who it was, he pouted. It was Michael calling with another line. After a moment of hesitation, Robert decided to pick up. As he picked up the phone, he walked out of Michael’s office.
