The moment I met you (Chapter 183)

  By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

‘Thank you.’Jessica freed herself from Patricia’s warm embrace. ‘You’re the best.’

Patricia nodded with a smile. ‘Feeling better now?’

‘Yup.’ Jessica nodded.

‘You must be hungry, I’ll ask the maids to prepare something for you.’ Patricia turned to leave, but Jessica grabbed her hand.

‘Let’s cook together like before.’ Jessica smiled. She was feeling better now.

‘Sure.’Patricia nodded with a smile, and both of them headed to the kitchen.

Robert bought afternoon tea from Galaxy coffee shop, and then raced to Star Restaurant. Seeing Chioma at the entrance of the restaurant on a phone call, he grabbed the bag and walked over to her. Chioma immediately hung up when he noticed someone was behind her. Turning around, she looked up at Robert with a smile. Robert smiled politely before stuffing the bag into Chioma’s hand.

‘Here, Sir Michael asked me to bring you afternoon tea.’

Seeing the store’s name on the plastic bag, Chioma knew that the afternoon tea must have cost much. She glanced at Robert, but didn’t know what to say.

‘Is he still busy with the meeting?’

‘Do you want to badly see him?’Robert smiled nonchantly.

Chioma blushed. ‘I wanted to talk to him.’

‘Well, you can tell me what it was you wanted to tell him.’

‘Never mind.’

‘It’s not as if my life depended on it.’

Robert spoke casually without a care, but Chioma was mad that she could have hit him if he were a child.

‘I should head inside.’

‘Okay kiddo… Go back inside with your afternoon tea, don’t forget to share with your friend, Chisom or else I might think you’re selfish and greedy. Love is sharing.’ Then, he turned away and went to his car.
