The moment I met you (Chapter 198)

   By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

Chioma smiled, declining the offer. ‘Mum, please, don’t treat me like I am married to a prince already. I’m still your poor daughter. I’ll do it myself you should rest.’

Andrew smiled, taking a mouthful of his drink.

‘All right, goodnight.’

‘Good night, mum, you still have to go to market tomorrow, so, make sure to come to bed already.’Chioma said, then turned to Andrew. ‘You too.’

Chioma smiled at her mother before heading to the bedroom.

Inside the bedroom, she tossed her bag on the bed, and placed the bouquet on her study desk before taking a bath. Changing into her night dress, she lay on the bed.

Reaching the Njemanze Villa, all the lights in the grand, majestic villa were lit, causing the whole place to look breathtaking even at night. As Michael pushed the front door open, the entire maid that saw him greeted him. Michael didn’t respond to their greetings. He was uninterested.

Edward sat on the couch, quietly reading a newspaper. Patricia, on the other hand, was eating strawberry. There was a fruit bowl beside her sofa.

‘Mum…you’re still awake?’Michael frowned; he didn’t seem to believe his parents were still awake to have a good time for themselves before going to bed. He could feel something wasn’t right.

As soon as Patricia saw Michael come back, she stood up to hug him.

‘Son, did you come back from a date?’

‘Since you already know there is no use asking,’ Michael said coldly.

‘You talk coldly to your mother because of that vixen bitch?’Edward pointed at Michael and scolded.
