‘Are you two getting married soon?’Felix asked teasingly.
‘Big brother Felix, why are you scaring Audrey?’Celine laughed.
Audrey refused to say more. She made her way upstairs carefully placed the bags on her bedroom couch, and then sat on the bed for a while, then got into the bathroom. She took her bath, took out a leisure wear from her luxury closet and put it on. When she was about to walk out of the bedroom, she received a message from Daniel. She quickly read the heart- warming message and then replied him back. Then she sighed happily, opened the door, and went downstairs.
‘Madam Audrey, dinner is ready?’A maid immediately walked over when she saw Audrey walking down the stairs.
Audrey didn’t speak, only nodded with a blissful smile, and walked towards the grand dining.
Everyone was already seated for the large spread of dinner on the table. Audrey slipped into a chair and happily reached for the pineapple rice in front of her, eating in big bites.
At the same time in the home of the Onuohas, Chisom and her family enjoyed their simple dinner of jollof rice and fried plantain.
‘Son, are you really sure you want to be Audrey’s escort?’Leonard asked his son. He was the head of the family and works as a janitor in one of the supermarkets here in Abuja.
Chisom bought warm achara tea with honey, and placed a cup for each person, then she want back into the kitchen and brought peeled oranges in a bowl. She placed the bowl at the centre of the dining table before settling down to eat.
‘Yes,’repiled Daniel.
‘Honey, are you afraid Audrey will hurt our son’s feelings?’Beatrice asked with a smile.
