‘Afternoon, I bought food. Do you want to eat together after the long tiring meeting with the governor?’
Robert look at the bags in Jessica’s hands, then turned to Michael who was already at the door. ‘We’re about to leave.’Robert turned back to Jessica and explained.
‘Uh…’Jessica rubbed her nose, feeling a bit embarrassed. She had rushed over here to bring food for them only to meet them leaving!
Opening the door wide to head out, Michael looked at Jessica with frosty eyes.
Jessica turned away her face, not daring to meet Michael’s gaze.
‘No matter what you do, I will have only one woman in my heart, and she is Chioma Chima. Stop wasting your time turning into a scheming bitch because it will never work on me…Your father is a governor doesn’t give you the guts to involve another governor into your mess.’
Jessica turned to look at the governor mournfully. ‘I…I’
‘Is okay, I understand you.’the governor said with a faint smile.
Michael started out with his team. Boarding their car, the left the gates of Lagos State House, and headed over to a luxury restaurant for a good meal. It was true Michael had said they would only eat when the governor spoke in favour of them but before arriving at Lagos State House, Michael had ordered a simple hearty meal for them, and now he brought them to a luxury restaurant for lunch. He might be haughty, domineering and even emit a cold aura, but he wasn’t the kind of person to punish others for no good reason.
