The moment I met you (Chapter 257)

By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

Jessica pulled a long face, with chilling bitterness. ‘How dare that bitch take my man from me? I won’t forgive her. I am a fighter, Sharon. I will make sure she suffers to the point of dying.’

Jessica’s tone was so cold that Sharon couldn’t tell if she was joking or not.

‘Is enough,’Sharon said in a low voice.

Jessica wiped off her tears, and then turned to look herself in the mirror with self-mockery in her eyes. ‘I will make sure Chioma doesn’t steal the limelight from me anymore.’ She reached for her makeup remover, squeezing some onto a cotton pad, she said, ‘Audrey isn’t happy with me for not gracing her birthday.’

‘It’s your entire fault. You left her birthday to pursue a man.’ Sharon scolded at her. ‘Even Nathan isn’t happy with you.’

Jessica didn’t say anything. She placed damp cotton on her face and began to remove the makeup gently, taking care not to scrub the sensitive skin around her eyes.

‘It’s fine. Maybe one day you will learn to love my brother.’ Sharon paused.

‘Chioma was there too. She came with her friend. Chisom’s elder brother was Audrey’s escort. They seem to be in love.’

Jessica laughed coldly. ‘Audrey will never settle for such a man.’
