The moment I met you (Chapter 263)

By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

Returning back to her friends who were chatting, Julia phoned Jessica. ‘Jess, Don’t think Chioma is easy to handle. She is not as innocent as she looks.’

‘Julia, do you trust me to ruin her forever,’Jessica chuckled, full of fighting spirit.

‘Can I anonymously release photos of Chioma and Felix?’

Jessica laughed.’Oh, Julia, I know how much you want to ruin Chioma. But I have seen enough of great headlines… ‘Exposed’ don’t worry yet, I have something sweet to give her today. She will regret crossing path with me.’

Julia laughed. ‘As long as you don’t kill her, I will be okay with whatever you decide.’ With that she hung up. She was going to seat back and enjoys Chioma’s reaction when being tortured by Jessica.

Chioma decided to keep walking homeward instead of standing by the roadside to wait for a taxi. She didn’t want to bump into Felix because she was certain he would force her to go on a date with him. So, to avoid anything that will lead to that, she had to move on while wishing for a taxi to stop for her. As soon as she merged onto lined-up street stalls that sold groceries, she noticed that something was out of place.

Just like in movies, Chioma felt that something was definitely wrong when she saw about ten men in black coat trailing behind her. They had metal bat in their hands, except for their leader who was holding a hidden pistol. She felt that they were following her. She tried to pull out her phone from her bag as she walked hastily. Then, she took the closest exit after a turn, heading towards another direction. The men followed her through the exit, trailing behind her not too closely. But she knew that she might not be able to escape from them. She ran a bit. Then, she turned on her phone and dialed Chisom’s number.
