The Moment I Met You (Chapter 399)

 By Nightengale Ben-Onyeukwu

‘Hope you guys are aware of the security cameras…?’

‘Yes, we’re away of the executive floors not having any CCTVs, but the conference rooms having security cameras on all four corners of the room and are monitored closely by the security personnel twenty-four seven and if anyone were to steal information from the office it would most definitely be caught on camera…’

‘Please, no one is stealing any information; we’re only expressing our views about that slummy girl…’

‘The boss intentionally excluded the CCTV from the executive floor, for the confidentiality of business conversations and not to talk behind his back. I don’t support his love life but I don’t still support the fact that we’re spouting nonsense,’ one of the executive heads said as he stood up to leave the conference room.

On the way to the office, Felix walked quickly to catch up with Michael who was walking very fast but graceful.

Michael was really in a bad mood, so when he entered his office, he took off his jacket and tossed it onto the sofa.

Felix entered the office with Robert and said, ‘I understand that you are mad with Jessica, but seizing to do business with them, isn’t it a bit harsh?’

Michael glanced at Robert instead and ordered, ‘Send out the order to cancel or company projects with Nnaji Group. Also, do well to warn all our clients and partners that Moon Corporation will from today being 25 November, 2020, no longer conduct business with any corporations affiliated with Nnaji Group.’

Hearing these words again, Felix knew that Michael wasn’t going to change his mind about this.

Robert was afraid to speak, so he nodded and left.

Then, Michael turned his face to Felix. Felix stared at him; he knew that Michael was trying to hide the anger in his eyes.

‘I think you should know better than anyone while I can’t stand Jessica anymore.’

Felix did not speak.

‘Did you know that Chioma left for Lagos, not willingly but because she was threatened by Emmanuel Nnaji. This time he went too far…Why does he wants to stop my own happiness just for his daughter’s happiness?’

‘I understand your pain so I won’t stop your decision,’ Felix said softly. ‘I would have done the same…’Felix paused. Even though Chioma was already taken, he would never allow anything to hurt her. But what could he do? He didn’t want to be the third wheel, so he would only help Michael in whatever measures he would take as regards to this.

‘I will go find her tomorrow. You will have to stay here to control everything here while I am gone,’ Michael said.

‘I understand.’ Then, Felix left the office.

As soon as Felix left, Michael closed his eyes and rested. He was trying his best to control the anger boiling inside of him, but that doesn’t mean he would withdraw his statement.
