At the same moment at Baze University, Audrey sat on her desk reading
the latest entertainment news with her tablet.
‘Chioma
can’t be compared to Jessica. She is not even half pretty as her. I wonder why
Michael loves that ugly girl so much.’
It
seemed all the students in the class were discussing the same thing. Four boys
in the class walked over to Audrey, and began talking to her.
Audrey
couldn’t help but force a smile even though her mood didn’t need the smile. The
boys were all looking handsome. Any girl would be happy to have them talking to
her, but no, she only wanted Andrew even though she was angry with him.
Kimberly walked
over and chuckled. ‘Audrey, whom do you want to choose?’
One
after the other, they eagerly said to Audrey, ‘Audrey, give me the chance to
proof myself to you.’
‘I
promise not to hurt you. Your poor boyfriend will give you nothing but
wrinkles.’
‘Audrey, I can be
your slave at your beck and call.’
Audrey found their words
funny, but then, she was not moved. She only wanted Daniel. Then she pondered
and asked, ‘Why do you love me, for my beauty or fame?’
They
glanced at each other. Audrey couldn’t careless what their expression was. She
knew that they had come from rich and powerful family, and could get anything
that they want to have.
‘Well, love doesn’t require
beauty or fame. It only requires heart.
I know that you all are very handsome but I don’t think that any of you will
match up to my boyfriend, ‘Audrey said.
Just
then, a female lecturer, wearing a black blazer with floral pink sweater
underneath, paired with matching necklace, walked inside and everyone went to
their seat. However, it seemed that no one was in the mood to listen to the Advertising lesson going on. Some of the
boys kept on stealing glances at her; some of the girls kept whispering the
entertainment gossip, making up comparison between Jessica and Chioma, totally
unaware that the lecturer was getting angrier and angrier as she taught.
Their textbooks were all
placed before them, but no one concentrated on it.
‘Hey,
you come out and explain everything I just said to the class,’the lecturer
pointed at Kimberly who was dressed in a navy and white patterned dress with
navy pumps.
Kimberly
wasn’t aware that she was being called as she chatted away with her head down
until the boy in navy suit seating beside her gave her a light push.
‘Kimberly,
the lecturer is talking to you.’
‘Oh,
really,’Kimberly responded, raising her head, and staring at the lecturer who
was obviously angry. ‘Ma’am, what do you want me to do?’
‘I
said you should explain everything I had just said.’ Kimberly shrugged innocently. ‘I
will but I am a little bit under the weather.
‘Just
say whatever,’a girl in ponytails whispered to Kimberly. Kimberly took her textbook and left to the
platform. Standing before the class, she made faces, causing the students to
laugh.
‘Kimberly!’
The lecturer yelled at Kimberly.
Kimberly
pouted, lifting the textbook and flipping to a specified chapter, she began
explaining the nonsense in her head,
causing the students to even laugh more. Though fluent American English
sputtered from her mouth as she spoke, the teacher was very furious for the
out-of-point she was saying.
The
lecturer looked at her and said, ‘You couldn’t explain a word and you’re still
disturbing… Go back to your seat and pay attention.’ The lecturer could not do
anything to her because of her rich and powerful family. Who would dare go
against money? People respected
money, the lecturer was no exception.
Kimberly
pouted her lips and grumbled, ‘Your class is so boring…’ she thought that the
lecturer didn’t hear her; she did but couldn’t do anything to her. The lecturer
simply didn’t want to be fired.
Audrey was feeling bored
before and after class, so she decided to look for Daniel.
Boarding
her Porsche, she drove straight to his shop. Reaching his shop, she found a spot
and parked her car. But as she was about stepping down of her car, she saw
Daniel hugging a girl. Audrey felt jealousy inside of her. She only saw the
back of the girl, which made her wonder whom the girl was.
